Digital Printing

HP Indigo 10000 (B2+)

Summary Spec:

  • B2+ print size
    (max. sheet size of 750 x 530mm)
  • 3,425 4 colour sides per hour
  • Orange/Green/Violet (OGV) and White inks
  • Handles up to 445 microns

Overview

The HP Indigo 10000 is the world’s first B2 high quality digital press with trusted Indigo quality. It is the first Indigo to go from the traditional sheet size of SRA3 up to a larger print size of B2+ (max sheet size 750 x 530 mm). This machine prints 2.5 times the area at twice the speed, giving between 4 and 6 times the output compared with the SRA3 models (depending on the imposition).

As with the HP Indigo 5600 (see below), it uses the same HP liquid ink and technology. It too has 7 colours plus white and can handle stocks of up to 445mic and has the ability to print on metallised substrates.

Its speed is 3,425 4 colour sides per hour on all substrates, making it the fastest high quality digital sheet fed press in the world.

We are also bringing in house the HP Ink mixing system with this press so will be able to print Pantone colours digitally on demand.

On Demand Printing

The machine is suited to short run posters, books and brochures, especially where printing collated is an advantage and/or if there are a lot of versions/languages to be produced. It allows short runs to be inexpensively produced, on demand, for a whole host of new digital book sizes that were not possible with the SRA3 machines, such as 240mm square, A4/B4 landscape.

Variable Data/Personalisation

Another totally new market that has opened up with this machine is the ability to print each copy different, but on both sides of the B2+ size on all substrates. Whether multiple names or a different logo each time, a fully variable one piece mailer or personalised packaging option that changes dramatically each time, this machine has the ability to produce these with ease and on demand. This results in better targeted marketing by giving your customer more relevant content, reduces print quantities and the need for storage.

HP Indigo 5600 (SRA3)

Summary Spec:

  • SRA3+ print size
    (max. sheet size of 330 x 482mm)
  • 2,000 4 colour sides per hour
  • Orange/Green/Violet (OGV) and White inks
  • Handles up to 460 microns

Overview

This press has 7 colours and can handle sheet sizes of up to 330 x 482 mm with a max print area of 314 x 450 mm. Its speed is x2,000 4 colour sides per hour on all substrates.

Our HP Indigo 5600 is the highest quality digital press available to date. It uses liquid ink rather than a dry powder toner, allowing smaller particles of ink to be used and carried in a suspender oil, which in turn results in a finer detail of dot. The oil is boiled away, then captured, condensed and reused, resulting in the dry liquid ink being left behind on the blanket so jobs come out of the press dry.

Colour Options and Substrates

The HP Indigo 5600 is a 7-colour machine allowing the use of Pantone® colours as well as HP Indichrome 7 colour process (with Orange, Violet and Green). It also supports the white ink option for printing on to metallic, coloured and clear stocks. In addition it has One Shot Mode for tight register printing on to plastics and the heavy substrate kit allowing up to 460 micron stocks to be printed on.

Variable Data/Personalisation

We use variable data software, which allows us to fully personalise each printed copy for direct mail, admission tickets and named marketing material. This is proving very popular and is a proven way to increase audience engagement.
